In SaTA, the nuclear strike that Shivers describes happens to Revachol.

I have not read the book, there is no English translation, however I am aware of some of what happens in it. The novel is also set in Elysium and takes place some time after Disco. I don't believe this concept of a world spirit is mentioned anywhere else in DE (please let me know if you know anything about this though, I have some ideas but I really have nothing to base them off of other than vibes), however I believe there may be more information that could be relevant in Robert Kurvitz's novel from 2013, Sacred and Terrible air. This is most notable when you pass the shivers check in the Church when dancing In the video (which unfortunately I could not find a voice acted version of, it's very well done), Shivers describes itself as "A fragment of the world spirit", and describes its motivations for helping Harry. There are a few times as well when an entity speaks with you that is related to the shivers skill.

There's no real way to verify that a lot of the info it gives you is correct as much of it is related to things that take place outside Martinaise, in places where Harry never visits in the game, but from what I can tell everything that the skill tells you that is relevant to the events Harry can directly witness appears to be correct. Most shivers checks are described as something like a cold wind blowing by, with descriptions given afterwards of other people/events elsewhere in the city. Shivers gives Harry a lot of information about what is happening in Revachol around him. They're both skills that broadly speaking grant Harry an intuitive sense of what's happening in the world around him, but despite the surface level similarities both skills function in very different ways. I've been thinking about these 2 skills a lot.

I will be tagging Sacred and Terrible Air spoilers however Not tagging Disco Elysium spoilers in this post because there's just too many.
